Much over due!!

Written by Canadian Nippon at 09:50 27/1-2022

Here we are late in the stages of Season 59 and with only six days left in the season the team final scored the all important win that they always seem to get since returning to OCM in season 46 or something like that.

"We have had a really strong season considering the fact that we took this season easy with other commitments away from racing this season taking way too much time." commented Team manager Bouchard when asked about the victory today. "In some ways it actually might have helped us gain some of those results as the riders have been better rested this season compared to some of the past season." added the manager of the Canadian team.

The win comes after thirteen other results for the team with a bunch of seconds (6) and thirds (5) to the team name with the other result coming from a classic top 10 placement.

"It has been an interesting season with a lot of change happening around the team. I am not sure how closely anyone has been following the team this season but we have seen trained promising riders come and go this season but it has boosted our ability to score more points in completing the transfers." commented the manager looking a bit down beat. "It is always hard to give up on a talented rider when you know that they can continue to be a key aspect of your team moving forward but sometimes you must look at the bigger picture. Todays win is clearly on the back of the transfer of Due just a few weeks days ago." commented the manager when asked about the long face.

Andre`Due was transfered in a Private deal to Team Chili for an impressive 561K; which the team then reportedly flipped into an contract with O9 bikes frames that shoudl benefit both the TT team and the Sprint team as they now have one of the best bike frames around.

This transfer was on the back of Private deal with fellow Canadian team Pacenuts; that was interrupted and when to full action seeing Canadian rider Ezra Waldschmidts transferred to mutants madrid. The private/acution seen the team loose an climbing aspect to the team as they continued to build into other aspect of racing in OCM with the TT team shaping up nicely.

"The Erza deal has set the team back but at the time we thought it was a good move to help another Canadian team get stronger while allowing us to focus on some of the other riders that required to be trained. This transfer has aided that aspect as Eelco Wel; has continued to progress nicely with the extra backing to his training. We have also been able to continue with Deville training and start training on Pavicic and Testut. This should only strength the team but we are still very much in a transition period with the team." Commented the manager when asked about the transfers.

"We still have too many riders that need to be trained. We have eight of nineteen riders that still require some form of training; our TT team took a hit with the PD of Due and we will look to recover from that transfer sooner then later. I also have concerns about some of the riders that we are looking to train as I think they simply don`t have enough ability in their discipline to be effective riders for our team. While they might be very good riders overall, they might never challenge for victories and fall into the roles of team mates or filling the placement in TT races without much chance. Time will tell and we need to make choice sooner or later if we continue to train or even start training some of these riders." commented the manager when pushed about the transition period of the team.

"No, I am not going to mention any of the riders by name that I am concerned about as that would be unfair and I am sure that you can most likely figureout whom I am talking about anyways." added the manager not wanting to throw any of his riders under the bus.

The team has released Gus Block this past week an untrained 217 potential climbing team mate and this is clearly due to the transfer of Ezra as the team no longer requires such riders. So based on the manager comments one would expect to see more riders sold or transferred in the coming season as the team looks to strength the teams overall teams strength with riders that will aid the team in the near future.

It has also been reported that Borris Bitao has been listed for transfer by the team as the aging thirty-one year has very much been under utilized by the team in the past few season. Current rumor has the transfer around $350K; which once again will be a nice boost to the Canadian Nippon team.

Watch this space further as the team transitions period has started and new riders will more likely be moving to the fore front of the team future.
